The photogenic and colorful city center is a top attraction on Curaçao. The city is home to many special monuments, museums and shops. It is also one of the most beautiful cities in the Caribbean.

Pietermaai is a characteristic neighborhood that is slowly being restored after years of decline. Particularly due to the establishment of several renowned restaurants and entertainment venues, Pietermaai is again a popular place to go out for both locals and tourists. Start your journey of discovery from Theaterstraat and then continue to Nieuwestraat. The Penstraat is parallel to the Nieuwestraat. In addition to nice bars and hotels, you can also find beautiful architecture in this street, which lies directly along the rocky coast.

In this old market hall you can eat delicious typical Curacao dishes around lunch time. And that for a very reasonable price. Many residents of Willemstad know how to appreciate this place and more and more tourists are also visiting it. As far as I'm concerned, that's absolutely right!

Every Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm it is extra cozy in Punda (the oldest part of Willemstad) There is music, there is dancing, there is a craft market and sometimes live theater

Shopping, dining and relaxing on the beach can be perfectly combined here . Many different beach clubs, larger and smaller shops, souvenirs, a tattoo shop, a chip shop. Many Happy hours, It can all be found here.  Free entrance and parking and almost always open.

An introductory dive is an ideal way to get acquainted with diving in a relaxed way. Some basic theory and then with personal guidance you go into the water, as far and deep as you want. You can do this at various diving schools.

A friend of ours, René Leeuwenburg, has a Reef boat with which he organizes trips. The price for 4 hours is about 50 euros. You can also rent the entire boat (including captain René) for part of the day. Price 350/400 €/$

 is a small open-air museum in Barber. The museum is located in and around a restored kunuku house, which shows how the Afro-Curaçao rural population lived after the abolition of slavery until about 1950. The Christoffel Park is the largest nature park in Curaçao. There are several rare plants and animals such as white-tailed deer and special wild orchids. In addition to the paved highways, there are no fewer than 8 different walking routes. For visitors who would like to get some more information about nature, and do not want to drive themselves, there is the option of going on a pick-up safari led by a park ranger.

The route starts somewhat quietly and certainly not steep, but don't go too fast; soon you will notice that it gets steeper and steeper. In some places, walking may not even be the right word and scrambling is more appropriate. Especially on the last bit. But then you will be rewarded with an impressive view… In clear and cloudless weather you can even see Bonaire !

In the village of Barber lies the small nature park Hofi Pastor. As soon as you enter, you'll notice you've arrived somewhere special. Ring the bell at the entrance, and a park ranger will welcome you and collect a small entrance fee in Antillean guilders.
 Two walking trails, marked red and yellow, both lead past Curaçao's oldest tree: a magnificent centuries-old kapok tree with enormous roots stretching high above the ground. Admission costs just a few guilders, and the park is closed on Fridays.

Piskado is a fishing port. Because the fish are immediately cleaned from the boat and the waste is thrown into the sea, there are always a lot of sea turtles present. That's why it's great to snorkel there! There are always turtles to be seen especially around the jetty.

This nature park is not very well known but definitely worth a visit.
It is a cove on the north side of the island. If you look down you can see the large turtles swimming that come to eat seaweed.

Wonderful place to see the flamingos in their natural environment. You can park your car along the road and walk a bit into the swamp so you can get really close.
