We are Tanja and Leo, and we have been living on the beautiful island of Curaçao for more than 10 years now, with great pleasure. We first came here because of the wonderful climate, the relaxed atmosphere, and the unique nature, but we soon discovered that Curaçao has so much more to offer.

We love the space, the outdoor lifestyle, and the slower, less hurried way of living. Here, we enjoy the sunshine, the sea, the colorful birds in our garden, and the small moments that make life so special.

Our love for nature and animals can be seen throughout our resort. We have tried to create a place where people can relax, enjoy peace and privacy, and completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A place where the garden is full of life, where birds and butterflies are welcome, and where our animals are a natural part of our family.

Our dogs Buck and Dushi, both rescued from the streets, help keep an eye on things. Buck loves affection and attention, but he knows how to stand his ground when needed. Dushi is sweet, but sometimes a little timid. She keeps a close watch on everything, but happily leaves the real guard duties to Buck. Our cats, two sisters, bring extra coziness to our home and also help by keeping unwanted pests at a distance.

As the owners, we personally take care of the daily running of Octopus Tropical Oasis. Leo takes care of the garden, the pool, maintenance, and all practical matters, while Tanja manages the administration, reservations, website, and communication with our guests.

We feel privileged to share this special place with others, and we hope our guests experience the same peace, freedom, and connection with nature that we have enjoyed here for so many years.
